Contenuti
The course is divided into three main parts. The first one aims to introduce the students to the concepts of the sustainability and more specifically to the integration of the sustainability into the core business of the companies. The second part aims to understand the Sustainability Strategy Framework (SSF) through a technical explanation and specific business case. In particular, the course will analyze the different phases of the framework and keeping the necessary attention to the connection with the profit mission of the company.
Topics that will be covered by this part of the course include the following:
• Defining a sustainability assessment
• Identification of relevant impact and of added value business areas
• Sustainability positioning
• The element of a sustainability strategy, like actions, roles and responsibilities, resources, targets, kpi
• Sustainability strategy definition
• Business case
The third part will consist in the application of the framework by the students on the bases of the introduction, the methodology explanation and business cases delivered in the previous phases. Consequently, the students will be drived in the assessment of the sustainability situation of the company and on its positioning versus the competitors and comparables; then they will be supported in the identification and selection of the areas and pillars in which to build the strategy of the companies other than in the construction of a sustainability strategy and of sustainability strategic plan.
